This traditional cottage really has so much to offer! It sits on an elevated position – in a peaceful location and offers breath taking unrivalled Sea Views.
Charming, traditional Irish cottage full of history and character. While this cozy retreat retains its original quirks, including the seasonal charm of older homes, it offers a unique and authentic countryside experience—perfect for those who appreciate rustic charm.
A few words from the owners: Kathy's Cottage is attached to Kitty's Cottage - The cottages were built in 1880 by two brothers. Our grandmother Kitty was one of 13 children born in the larger cottage in 1920. Our mother Kathy was also born in the cottage in 1943. Hence why we have named them both Kitty’s and Kathy’s cottages. It’s great to have both back in the original family.
KATHY'S AND KITTY'S COTTAGE ARE ATTACHED TO EACH OTHER - PERFECT TO BE BOOKED TOGETHER FOR A FAMILY / FRIENDS VACATION! You will be able to find both cottages for rent here, but contact us in case one is not available and we can look at dates when they both can be booked together.
Within a 5 minute drive of The Cliffs of Moher and Doolin with daily trips available from Doolin pier to The Aran Islands. Enjoy walks to the Cliffs via famous The Wild Atlantic Way.
The Rock Shop is very close to this property and extremely popular for the locals just as much as for visitors due to its extensive array of gifts. Further on this road, enjoy a coffee at the award-winning Moher Cottage while taking in the superb sea views.
Liscannor village is a beautiful quaint fishing village overlooking Liscannor Bay and the Lahinch Coastline hugely popular due to its award-winning seafood restaurants and traditional music venues. This property is approximately a 15 minute drive to Lahinch beach – one of Irelands most famous family seaside resorts – well known for its 18 hole championship golf course but also the perfect destination for lovers of a variety of water sports. Take a visit to Lahinch Leisure Centre – newly refurbished – on the promenade of Lahinch, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Lahinch Leisure Centre has a state of the art gym and 25m heated pool, learner's pool, steam room and jacuzzi, and our guests get a 20% discount on day passes!

Summary: The view was spectacular however the cleanliness and the listing accuracy was poor. As soon as we got there we noticed bugs and general grime. We ended up having mouse droppings on our toilet paper and all over our couch upon further inspection. Posting states a pool is an amenity while in reality you have to pay and it's a 10 minute drive away.

Summary: I’m so glad we stayed here, yet it was fraught with challenges too. There was no power to the main bedroom, so no heat. We called the property management and left four messages with no return call. Know there are no toiletries, no coffee maker (but a French press) and no hair dryer. BUT the views were gorgeous, the experience was absolutely worth it. ALSO: pull the shower / immersion cord a full 15-20 minutes before showering or you will freeze! The cliffs of Moher are very close. DO Give this a try, it’s ultimately lovely, just be prepared.

Summary: We absolutely loved the cottage itself and the location is awesome! I would recommend it for sure and would stay here again. The only things were that the parking was a bit confusing, the bathroom was cold and we could have used more notes of explanation on how to use the heaters, appliances and the two different hot water heaters as things were very different for us and was a bit frustrating.

Summary: What we liked: 1- Tranquil environment and no noise. 2- Good privacy. 3- Close to tourist places. 4- Comfortable beds. 5- Sense of security. What we disliked: 1- Roads are very narrow, and there are only one-way roads to get there. 2- Every day, we saw rodents inside the house. We called Lahinch Property Management, and a lady said that they were aware of it but that the rodents were field mice and they were harmless. 3- There were no instructions on how to use the fireplace. 4—Midway through our stay, a lady came and informed us that she was expecting us to leave that day. Luckily, we were on the property at that time, but I am not sure what would have happened to our belongings if we had not been inside the house. 5- The refrigerator did not work properly, and our food got spoiled. 6- The dining table was very awkward. It had some flats on the side, probably because it is expandable. But, as we used it, it was very uncomfortable; we constantly bumped our legs against it. 7- The property has a full kitchen, but there were no basic condiments such as salt, cooking oil, pepper, etc. For travelers, it is inconvenient to buy those condiments because we can't take them when we depart Ireland. 8- Few toilet paper was provided: based on the number of days we stayed, there was not enough toilet paper. We contacted Lahinch Property Management using the email they provided us, and they never responded. 9- The property was dirty. We found spiderwebs everywhere in the house

Summary: Kathy’s Cottage was an amazing cottage with absolutely breathtaking views! The cottage was the perfect mix of an old, beautiful, historical irish cottage with modern, comfortable interior updates. The property where the cottage is located is extraordinary - hilltop views of farm land (and some nearby cow friends), rolling green hills and the beautiful irish sea. Close to the towns of Liscannor, Lahinch + for pubs, restaurants, provisions, shopping and more. Would stay here again for certain!
